Why Creativity Was the Core Challenge — Not Just SEO
SignArt Pro is a UK-based signage company operating from Luton, delivering bespoke shopfront signs, illuminated LED signs, 3D built-up letters, interior branding, exterior building signs, healthcare signage, safety signs, window graphics, gym signs, school signs, and banner printing for businesses across the UK. The business designs, manufactures, and installs everything in-house with their own fitters — no subcontractors.
The challenge was unique: this is an art and design business. A signage company's website is itself a sign — if it looks cheap, generic, or outdated, it tells potential clients the company's design work will be too. The original website was exactly that — a standard template with no visual impact, no creative identity, and no ability to showcase the quality and craftsmanship of SignArt Pro's real work. For a business that sells visual excellence, the website was its biggest weakness.
My brief was to redesign the site with bold, creative design that matched the quality of their signage work, then build a comprehensive SEO strategy that positioned them as a leading UK signage company across their full service range. Within 5 months of launch, we had 50 keywords ranking in the top 10 on Google UK.

For a signage company, the website is a portfolio piece in itself. If the website looks uninspired, clients assume the signs will be too. The redesign had to do something most business websites don't attempt — it had to be creative, not just describe creativity.

The original site had a single basic contact form. That meant every visitor — whether enquiring about a simple window decal or a full commercial shopfront rebrand — filled in the same form, giving the sales team no context.
